I work to a brief, not a mood board. Before a shoot I want to know what the images have to do, where they will run and for how long — because that decides the lighting, the crop and the licence.
Most of the work is product, people and places: a studio set for a marketplace listing, a factory floor for an annual report, a building for an architect, a wedding for a family. Different subjects, same method — find the frame that does the job, then remove everything else.
